Zool. - Ballroom Blitz
On his third album Zool. (aka Gerry Vergult) returns to his first musical love, the guitar. On the eight tracks of this longplayer it's Gerry's axe taking the lead in this new excursion through the ever expanding universe of Zool.
And this time it's a universe where you can dance to. The psychofunk of 'Impossible Boogie' or the desert dub of 'Mutant Chaabi' will certainly appeal to leftfield clubbers, but the other tracks too all refer to the global dancefloor, hence the title.
However, the typical melancholy of Zool.'s former albums is still present in tracks as 'Rumba Galbani'or 'Slow Limbo', while on the other side of the spectrum, tracks like 'Sonic Tango' refer to Gerry's heavier work with his band Aroma Di Amore (as Fred Angst).
